Ayatollah Alireza Arafi emphasized the global impact of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, noting its presence in over 100 countries. He highlighted the expansion of women’s seminaries and their role in Islamic education. Arafi also stressed the seminary’s deep connection with the people as its foundation.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Young scholars trained in the Islamic Seminary of Qom have established centers for Islamic and human sciences in various countries, an official has stated.

Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Director of Iran’s Islamic Seminaries, made these remarks during a meeting with Indonesian thinkers and guests visiting Iran for a conference marking the 100th anniversary of the Islamic Seminary of Qom.

He noted that in more than 100 countries worldwide, young individuals passionate about theological knowledge have pioneered and organized centers dedicated to Islamic and human sciences.

Ayatollah Arafi emphasized that following the Islamic Revolution of Iran, access to Islamic sciences was fully opened to women. Today, the number of Islamic science centers for women equals those available for men.

He highlighted that the women’s Islamic seminary has grown into a significant institution for the expansion of Islamic, human, and moral sciences.

Currently, nearly 500 women's seminary schools are active in Qom and across Iran, with similar centers established abroad. This development is a direct result of the Islamic Seminary of Qom’s influence.

Ayatollah Arafi also pointed to the seminary’s international reach, stating that it has played a crucial role in spreading Islamic sciences globally.

Another key aspect of Qom’s intellectual tradition, he noted, is its deep connection with the people. He stressed that the Islamic Seminary of Qom would not have been formed without the support of the people, who remain its backbone.
